I lived and worked there for about 5 years during my mid 20s. I was from a rural area in Ga already but this was another world.

I was fortunate enough to get in with a group of guys my age who were from there and I had plenty of disposable income considering the very low cost of living. So I really enjoyed my time there.

Like others said, very poor area. There's 2 maybe 3 restaurants, 1 grocery store and basically no entertainment. We used to drink and drive on the levee and that was about it. The Country Club was running well when I was there but the golf shut down after I moved. You're about a hour from anything, Greenville, Monroe, Vicksburg etc so if you don't like driving then it would suck.
