YouTube video discussing the issue

Lets talk CMBS.

Is an imidacloprid based insecticide the only thing to control this? Have you seen CMBS actually kill a crape myrtle?
Can it be fully eradicated in your yard?

This. Works like a charm.

is it, like Dominion, Imidacloprid?

ETA: yes, but only 1.5%, while dominion is 21.4%.

Dominion is not labeled for garden use, so you have to get the labels from another dedicated garden product to determine the appropriate dilution, then it requires a little 7th grade math, but Dominion goes a lot further!

I just used neem oil. Applied it 3 times. 3 Saturdays in a row. Got rid of it.

You can wash that stuff off with a power washer, if you do it carefully, or just wait for the bark to shed later this year.
