How about the ones driving with no lights on at all. Counted like 6 this morning.

I'm also not an arrogant prick so I put my flashers on for others safety.

But you’re not helping others safety. Flashers indicate a stopped vehicle. If your brake lights are in working order, they are sufficient to be seen, even in heavy rain.

What you’re doing is using a warning indicator incorrectly, so assuming you’re putting them on for others’ safety is in fact acting arrogantly.

If it’s really about protecting and serving, police would pull them over and ticket/arrest them.

If you can't tell the difference between me going 60 and a stopped car maybe you should be the one that pulls over to the side of the road.

They should have all of their tires removed.

It's fricking dangerous

I agree that it is unsafe, illegal in many states (not all), and recommended against in the others. But, this always confuses me

The fact that you are getting closer to the vehicle with the hazards on should be the first clue that they are either stopped or driving extremely slow. If you are driving at a safe speed and not catching up to the hazards should clue you in that it's just an idiot driving with their hazards on proceed with caution

It is legal in many places. AAA and most police recommend not to though.

Have you ever seen a cop pull someone over when it's pouring outside?

This, and people who drive at dusk or dawn with only their parking lights should be horsewhipped as well.

Although I don’t do it, I can understand why people would. It’s because the idiot in the F250 still drives 80 mph even though he can’t see 10 yards in front of his truck.

Driving with your hazard lights is illegal. Take yourself off the road if you can't drive in heavy rain or your windshield wipers are overwhelmed.

is why it’s against the law to drive with them on?
it’s against the law because it’s only supposed to be used when stopped or coming to a stop, not in low vis. It’s dangerous because it will make other drivers think you are at a standstill or stopping in the middle of the road.

If you’re able to go 60, it’s not bad enough to warrant flashing hazard lights.
