To me at the time it was worth it because we needed that shot in the arm with Ditka and Williams. It’s just sad neither worked out.

The real shot in the arm moment with a running back would come 7 years later when Reggie fell into the Saints lap at #2. I’ve never heard people more fired up than when that happened.
