I feel this is a 2 edge sword. If somehow Rattler comes in next season because Carr is injured or just sucks and does well- does this save DA? For instance imagine a world where Rattler becomes Purdy like- are we stuck with DA for the next ten years???

if we were a consistent playoff team, would it matter? the, "oh my god, if we become good we are stuck with DA" nonsense is hilarious. it's not very likely to happen, but if DA somehow turned the tide for the better (especially with a young QB) and had the saints cosistently in the playoffs, i'd be ecstatic.
