Why did you highlight #9?
Also, shouldn't we all be in favor of making voting as accessible as possible? This is a fricking democracy. I know Trump is trying to change that, but he hasn't yet.

No. We have too many people voting that have no business participating in important decisions.
I contend that well fewer than half of registered voters would pass the citizenship test that we make prospective immigrants take prior to to their becoming American citizens.

Voting should require some effort. Like, getting yourself registered and scheduling a time to go vote.
Just like finding a job, or getting a drivers license. It’s takes a little effort if it’s something you want to do. But everyone should have that opportunity.
Having someone show up at your door who registers you and votes for you means you have people voting who do not take a serious interest in voting, and instead amplify the voting interest of the canvasser.
