I always have to put Early in when talking these 2 and make it a trio. Early's numbers are right there with Buster's as the #2 guy in 06.

Frankly, their accomplishments are rather more impressive than OBJ and Juice and let me finish before you react.

The responses in this thread somehow putting the stink on the 2013 offense (because "Les") to elevate OBJ and Juice. We threw the ball over 325 times that year. If you don't count sacks, we barely rushed over 400 times. That's "pass happy" for any almost any other LSU year before, say, 2018 (2014 passing attempts were under 275 ) To keep Mett in perspective, he averaged about 320 attempts in 2012 and 2013, which is "Jamarcus" level (Jamarcus threw 346 times in 2006 before becoming the #1 overall pick).

To even put it another way, in Saban's last year, Randall, Russell and Flynn combined for 316 attempts.

So, when Reed and Clayton combined for almost 150 catches and almost 2500 yards, when LSU did not even complete 240 passes (on 411 attempts) and JUST TOEFIELD rushed 230 times in 2001, that's pretty doggone impressive.
