And it’s been half a decade, we rarely get to the playoffs and when we do, get bounced in the first round.

Numerous teams behind us, started off with way way less assets and are much further along. Griff has done less with more than any gm I can remember. And the team still doesn’t have any direction. Wish we had someone like Presti.

What we should have done is immediately blown it up, traded Jrue at the same time as AD, and just been fricking awful with Zion and BI I guess.

But I do think Griff got marching orders not to go full Tank.

AD and Zion never wore the same uniform at the same time. They weren't ever really on a roster together.

He hasn’t been good enough. He’s too scared to make proactive moves with this team which keeps us in purgatory. His drafting philosophy is questionable. We’ve wasted like 3 firsts on bigs who either don’t fit with Zion or the head coach doesn’t like playing and we’ll probably spend more assets on another big this summer.

I promise you can make good arguments against David Griffin without being intellectually dishonest with the framing

It’s not all on Griff. It starts with AD flaking out on us. And everybody put too much faith in Zion even before and during the draft. We don’t know what deals Griff tried but just didn’t have the assets that the right teams wanted.

Wasn’t Davis in the last year of his contract? we would have had him for 1 more year and then nothing.
