He could have held on to AD if he wanted to and those three would have been on the roster at the same time, correct? He choose to trade AD.
and AD would have still demanded out, There were reports AD was telling his teammates he was out BEFORE his last season here.

He would have gone full Harden if we kept him, sat out with fake injuries, then we wouldn't have gotten Hart, Lonzo, BI, any of the picks, or CJ.

Saying Griff had Zion and AD at the same time intellectually dishonest. It's not a real argument.

Point remains, he was gifted the number one pick with two generational talents at the top. An all NBA player in his prime, and an all star guard in his prime. And what do we have to show for it?
Again, he did not have an All NBA player in his Prime. Jrue, while i love him, is a one time all star and that one time was in 2012, 7 years after Griff arrived.

It's simple. Zion's injuries have delayed the progression of the franchise. Nothing more. And I'm still very pro Zion. The only real mistake I would say Griff made was not taking Garland. But at the same time, as you've said, we already had Jrue, Lonzo, JJ, and Josh Hart that season. Who knows if Garland has the same trajectory playing 12 minutes a night his first 2 years instead of 30+.

I’m not arguing that he should not have traded AD. He chose the package and what team to trade him to. You are missing the entire point. The point is Griff had all three to do what he pleased with. And we are no better now than before he arrived.

But he was an all star and good enough to be the number 3 on a championship team. I’m arguing about what he had at the time in trade value. They weren’t broken down and old. Both were in their prime and top assets jeez.

That was certainly a big one, but it wasn't the ONLY one. Not trading Lonzo for Lauri was equally as bad in hindsight, as was trading assets and for bigs and then more asset to unload them. He's made several mistakes.
