I’d like to understand what the coaches are seeing because I have followed fall ball and both off seasons he has hit for a lot of power and didn’t strike out a bunch. Not sure if it is just because he didn’t have a high ranking coming in but overall the kid has done well in the fall at the plate. In my opinion, he should have gotten an opportunity before Neal did in RF.

Obv with Larson filling that spot we should at least kick the tires on him in an SEC game at center field. And people can say that’s crazy but he literally can not do any worse than 0-10 at the plate over a weekend. There should be no cards off the table when it comes to finding a guy to fill that spot.

Zeb actually struggled a little this fall. He did have a great scrimmage towards the end with two highlight catches and a homer.
We had Bingham, Kling, Pearson, Frey, Brown as our likely potential starters. None of them really took the bull by the horns. Larson has passed all of them. Zeb and Paul are quality outfielders but were down the depth chart.
Unless Zeb or Paul force their way in like Larson did. It's hard to give up on the guys we thought were our potential starters.
