Started strong last season but hasn’t progressed since. Have no idea what’s wrong. Maybe he’s just not an SEC hitter.

He gets in his own head very easily. He knows when he is or isn’t going to swing before the ball even gets to him. At that point, it’s just luck if you even hit it.

He had a hamstring injury then never seemed to rebound. Last night he hit the ball hard but right at people, which he has done a bit this season in addition to striking out,
He needs to get out of his own way, IMO. He is just a head case in the batter's box I guess.
His fielding and speed combo is great, if he can add just average hitting not many would be complaining about him.
