There were some large UMC that left too...I know I was a member at one and there have been many others....Also even though a lot of UMC still remain a lot of members have left and taken their money with them...Got news...the 50 plus folks give much more than the younger folks do..

The UMC is hurting financially...due to the losing of memberships. There are a lot of things going on within the UMC....The powers that be within the UMC have been shocked at the uproar this has caused....Believe me.

In the Dallas area the large methodist Church in Plano and the big one in the Southlake area both left. These are thriving churches.

From what I have seen driving around the rich parts of Dallas it seems like most of the Methodist churches in town stayed.

In Houston, I know the big one in the Woodlands left. Idk about the rest.

Overall this is going to really hurt the UMC money wise.

What's happened is a lot of churches have stayed waiting on the vote....Now the vote has happened watch many more leave...And the ones that don't leave will have several members leave the church...With their money and support.....

Another thing....When this all started it wasn't hard for churches to leave and keep their property at a fair price....With the explosion that the church heads didn't think would happen did happen....they had to do something to stop the bleeding. They made it much harder for churches to leave and made it damn harder to retain the property....Thus making it hard for 500....1,000...or more church goers to just walk away with no church building to go to.
