Imagine it like AA, but while certainly one of the diseases is alcoholism the disease as a whole is the fleshly thirst for pleasure or sin. It's not responsible for the sponsor or director to be a drunk who shows up to meetings with alcohol on his breath. That person is 100% accepted and welcomed in, but the leaders and those held accountable should be those who are on the walk and path to recovery and give a light to those around them.
