I know it isn't much, but May - August also has (usually) 3 more days included, and none of that timeframe has any real football.

seriously. NYE comes by and you blink then it's May. Memorial Day weekend comes and it feels like years between then and Labor Day weekend.

that’s because you have spring sports from Jan-May. Olympics this year will help bridge the gap from May-September

That May to September stretch is the longest of the year. Especially with the hot, swamp arse days here in the south
