From farming to retail to warehouse work, we’re seeing machinery take the place of humans and it’s all because of the rising cost of labor.

Minimum wages, end up killing jobs at some level.
I wonder if politicians are really too stupid to realize it or if they know but just don’t care

They know but figure that killing jobs means you can keep voters on the plantation through bread and circuses.

not exactly. you're missing the chicken and the egg point. costs are being manipulated up to create demand for robots/ kiosks. robotics is very profitable, not labor costs
