This article says he got influenza B, which around where I live is having an annoying spring "go around" right now and this allowed MRSA - which is often a killer, to take hold in his inner organs.
Sad but I don't see how someone could give someone the flu and the MRSA just happens if you have it already in you like in your nasal cavity from a previous illness.
