A person who I think would know told me English Turn was the course discussed but I really don't know if it is correct. Basically just another rumor I guess.
Just editing to say I re-read post above stating same thing but with more detail. Maybe it is true.

LIV approached English Turn and a few other courses about a possibility during the super bowl. The pro at english turn contacted one of the Mackels (don't know which one) and they did a story on it.
Since then, its been reported by other people that Mike (ET golf pro) has said the idea is dead but don't know how much truth there is to that
Thats about as much as anyone really knows at this point.
This had nothing to do with the Zurich dying or an event in place of a PGA event.
