That is insane, and myopic.
Supercomputer predictions are only showing an average of around a 2C increase by around 2050. So...that certainly wouldn't be the "end of the world".
For example...the average overall temperature in Baton Rouge last August was 89.1F with an average high of 98.2. A 2C increase would only move the average temp to 92.7 and the average high to 101.8 F. Seriously...how different is 98.2 to 101.8? Hydrate, wear sunscreen, use Air Conditioning...it will be fine.
We've already got cooled football helmets making their way into the sport...people are adaptable.

And that was exactly the averages in Houston last August. And there was only a trace of rain the entire month. And-- I'll tell you for a fact the weather was far more oppressive last August in Houston than in BR. I was there
