The worst are the guides or the tournament fisherman that think that means they have priority. I once saw a guy in big bay boat in some type of redfish tournament leave his truck and boat in the launch to go weigh in his fish. He was gone 20 minutes and didn't see a problem with it when he returned and everybody was shitting on him.

The funniest I saw as a guy trying to load 17 or 18ft flat on the trailer off the side of the road on the old road between Leesville and Fourchon. Truck was in the road, front of the boat on the trailer, back of the boat on the ground. The prop had hung up on a stump off something pulling up and the boat slid off the back but not back into the water. We thought it was hilarious. They guy driving did not.

Not doubting your story, but as many tournaments I've fished, I've never seen anyone do this before. Those guys usually all work together and someone would volunteer to pull their rig out the water for them, especially if there's a rush to get to the scale.

Ever see those guys launch their boats, they'll just back them in the water, without any bow line attached, and just ask one of the other fishermen to grab their boat.. It's friggin hilarious.
