We never traded KD he walked out with no trade or picks returned. It was after KD left no series wins. Russ dragged them to playoffs with crappy team. Then the PG and others years went nowhere. Then the rebuild after trading PG and Russ. And this is the fruits of those trade.

I'm sorry. I meant that trade being awful as the reason why that iteration of the Thunder fell apart.
KD left because he was soft and your local guys went after him.

I don’t think they should have traded Harden. But it was owners who didn’t want to go into cap hell so early in their coming peak seasons. They did it to protect their stars long term but imo should have kept him and went all in to win.
But they were still great afterwards. KD mentally checked out when they were up 3-1 on GS best team. He knew he was going to GS in Feb when he met with GS players at the Super Bowl. And knowing he was walking he could not allow OKC to beat the team he was going to. All he got was token rings earned by ling term GS players. Their fans don’t like KD and KD rode their coattails. He is soft. And he screwed Presti by not allowing him ti get some draft capital when leaving. Snake.

OKC was probably the 5-6th best team in the west (they lose to a healthy nuggets, Twolves, mavs, and probably lakers and clippers), and one of the worst western conference 1 seeds of the last 20 years.

I mean come on your Mavs fandom is clouding your memory. Just last year a 1 seed lost in the first round! OKC was in 2nd round and pushed them close. Where do you guys come up with this crap lol. Jeez.

This makes sense. Glad they clarified. Wish SGA had just let him shoot a tough 3 under time pressure after the ball scramble. But it was correct call.

14 of the last 20 western conference 1 seeds went to the WCF or further.
So OKC is in the bottom quartile of outcomes. Several of the others in the bottom lost to the eventual champs or at least made it a 7 game elimination
