We're discussing how religion impacts politics and our votes! Try to keep up.

Of course it's important. Always has been and always will be. I personally vote for or against a candidate based on his or her character, including beliefs.

Thank you brother for that perfect text.

I’m sorry I didn’t read all of your question in the op.

To answer what you originally asked, it 100% matters to me. And not only by what they say, but if their actions match their words.

The only thing (personally) I wish DJT would be to harden his stance on abortion. I know that’s a me thing, and a lot of folks don’t agree. And that’s ok.

My hot button issues:
Abortion (biblical/murder)
2A (it’s in my dna)
Border (safety)
Israel (biblical)
LGBT Fantasy land (safety and biblical)
Spending (LAWD!)

There’s not really an order, but those are my 6 issues for a candidate.

This is the Political Talk board. Your question about whether religious faith in God matters today is about as far from politics as I can imagine.

I disagree. Politics is a function of culture, and religion constitutes a large section of culture.

I don't like these religious threads on PT. They belong over on the OT.

The OT is a cesspool. Religious threads belong in the PT if you want serious discussion. The thread is also clearly labeled making it extremely easy to avoid if you don't want to read religious threads on this board. I find complainers to be more of a nuisance than people that post a thread that may be somewhat off topic.

And the topic is about faith as it pertains to politics and voting.

The topic is very appropriate with what is going on in the Middle East and on college campuses all over the country and the world.

Me too. It's important what beliefs a candidate has because that's what determines their actions while in office.

You know what they say, "If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything."

Get out and VOTE! Let your voice be heard and fight for what you believe in. Freedom isn't free. It must be won, daily.

Agreed. And the topic is political. People act like discussing something pertaining to religion is a crime. SMH
