The fact that there has been essentially no check on the federal government since the civil war and absolutely none since WW1 and the Federal Reserve, should tell you that you are an idiot. At this point, the only check left on the federal government is them fricking up bad enough to where the people take up arms. Imagine the devastation the government can bring, and the number of people it can destroy before that happens.
