Yep but there are some that have been around a little bit now and have a good rep. Ecco battery is one that I would look at..roypow and allied had a rocky start but I think they are better now...there are a cpl others that have been around for a bit too but the names escape me atm. You could also just get your own direct from china if you wanted for less if you were ok with going at it alone. As long as they use good cells and BMS there shouldn't be many issues...the BMS is usually what goes out it seems but you can replace them. One thing to look for is the amps they can give and for how long. Stock cart 1-200 amps is ok but you really want a little more. Once you start swapping motors you need to be able to feed it more.

If I was just going around GI and up and down the beach thats a direction I would go or at least gas cart. I wanted electric for the stealth for hunting and for riding around the area around my house that not in a neighborhood.
