I bought the 9mm carbine a long time ago for that reason. It was right around the time the Beretta Storm carbine was released and I didn't even know if I wanted a 9mm carbine or not, so a $250 entry price just to play with it seemed reasonable.
It's crude, it goes bang every time. Near zero recoil and first-timers love shooting it. I have no interest in owning one of their handguns but if money was a priority I might.
