A first time homebuyer in their 20s has no business looking at $400k homes unless they're a high earner.
And I thought everyone works from home, which gives the younger generation the ability to be mobile and seek out less expensive zip codes further from metro areas.
Believe it or not, it's possible to live and be happy without Uber, Starbucks and Door Dash.

It’s not uncommon for college grads to pull 60-75 after 2-3 years in the workforce. With a solid DINK game, 400k for a couple kids making 150k after saving for a year isn’t stretching, nor is that a high earner in many RE markets.
And kids that age still like going into the city. So they will buy in or close to the city more so than not.
Kids like convenience.
