US investment is turning to Mexico for manufacturing and trade. China has been a problem since the pandemic with supply chain issues frequently halting US assembly plants operations.

This year Mexico has past China as US's top trade partner. Investment will now turn to Mexico to build plants for auto, houseware, and machine parts. With North American free trade agreements and land trade routes, projections are that supply will flow faster and cheaper from Mexico than China's future numbers. China is already showing economic decline. The idea that they would pass us as the global economic #1 by 2030 is unlikely.

Also - there is hope that increased economic opportunity south of the border will reduce number of migrants entering the US looking for jobs.
