Newell Normand and some "drug expert" were talking about this legislation yesterday morning on WWL. It is all a bunch of grand standing, pearl clutching nonsense.

The "drug expert" was talking about 1 child that had seizures from a hemp product and 1 child that died. This was throughout the entire U.S. Not once did they compare the child morbidity and mortality rates caused by hemp derived THC to the child morbidity and mortality rates caused by alcohol, .

And knowing that marijuana derived THC and/or hemp derived THC are available in nearby States, why would these idiots choose to hurt Louisiana businesses.

This issue is clearly controlled by alcohol industry lobbyists

Heard that.
Also the “expert” was very vague about whether she was talking about this stuff (OTC hemp D9) or full blown marijuana. Much panic mongering about “who knows what all other stuff is in there!”
Blatantly disingenuous.

Partially correct. This is REALLY being controlled by the Medical Marijuana Monopoly (i.e. Good Day Farms) and its primary investor, Mr Boysie Bollinger.
