You obviously haven't been or spent time in any of these states. I moved from LA to NH and let me tell you, it's a far superior place to live and raise a family for many many reasons. I'd say the same for Vermont and Mass as well. Little to no crime, great schools, lots of jobs and industries, tons of things to do recreationally. Lakes, mountains, hiking, skiing, beaches, hunting, culture, etc. We have it all. Sure, no crawfish but these days you can order anything you really want and I can fly down to watch any LSU or Saints game i want to attend in person. My heart will always be in NOLA but I love living in NH.

You left out the parts about freezing your nuts off and how the sun goes down at 4:30 in the afternoon in the winter while the slush turns to ice.

We have 4 seasons. I don’t sweat my balls off 10 months a year and I have a white Christmas every year. Don’t need to wear flip flops at Christmas. Plus, we have these things called jackets. Again, you have no context or else you know how plows or snowblowers work and having snow is actually pretty nice. I’ll take at 20 degree day for a few months vs 100 degrees for 8 any day.
