This is home and most of us are in no position to leave. I enjoy the good things such as football, food, and culture but do my best to shield myself from the bad. There are some nice towns and cities to live in here. Would love to live in TX or FL though.

A Herculean effort.

This is why I'm here. Most of my family and myself have managed to have a very good life here in this shithole of a state. Having my inlaws and other family nearby has been great for us and our kids.

I have some of my family that is very old and have next to no money, so I need to be here to help take care of them. I don't see how people so easily just toss family to the side to move away and expect others to care for them.

Now I have raised my kids with a strong hint that they probably should be thinking about starting their work lives out of state, and I'm sure at least one of them will. My wife and I will not need them to help care for us as we age.
