If he could correct one thing, what would it be? Also, do you think that it would make much of a difference in his overall performance?

Competent play calling, establishing a rhythm that he can get confidence from.

He is Captain Checkdown for a reason, so I guess start with him having the confidence to put the ball downfield into tighter windows.

But, a lot of his issues in NO could be attributed to Carmichael being atrocious as an OC. Even Jameis wasn't slinging it around under him, and he's a guy that doesn't mind gripping and ripping it. Hopefully Kubiak sees something and can make it work.

If he gets rattled in a game, he rarely recovers.

He holds on to the ball too long which causes the majority of his sacks

Stop holding the ball too long and get the ball out quicker will fix a lot of sacks and problems with the OLine protection

Y'all have identified a few things that can at least be influenced by a new play caller and let's hope that all improve or are fixed...

If he could correct one thing I'd have to say his perceived attitude. I don't know if he has a RBF or what, but it seems like he's always pissed at someone. I get a selective arse chewing (see Tom Brady), but every time something happens, he is pissed at someone. I think it would go a long way in wanting to play with him.

I thought he could correct Pete's crappy offense being a veteran. Didn't happen.
A decent oline is vital.

Not really something he can correct but has below average arm talent. He throws a decent deep ball and he has decent accuracy when he gets his shoulders square and everything goes according to plan. Certain qbs just have a pure throwing motion and can flick the ball exactly where they want it. They can throw from different body positions, arm angles, and on the run. Some quarterbacks rely on athleticism or size. Some rely on football IQ. Some have better vision than others. Carr really struggles from being overly stiff and goofy. Can't put touch on short throws/screens and can't make the high difficulty/tight window throws. He doesn't have the best field vision either. This is why he struggles significantly in the redzone. This is not really something he can really change. Spencer Rattler had better arm talent at 18yo than Carr does now, its just something you have or you don't.

Carr does some things well. Carr is built, he's strong, tough, solid athleticism, avg decision making ability, great deep ball, loads of experience, he does well on PA and boot legs. But he just lacks talent, he always has and he always will.

No leadership, and doesn't have that killer instinct . That entire gene pool are a bunch of overpaid bums.

pocket presence. he also panics, as if that's going to change anything. he needs to get on the "slow is smooth, smooth is fast" plan.

I’m still in awe why we chose this guy as our QB.. we took someone else’s leftovers and trying to make it lobster.

Biggest flaw is he’s a finished product well into his 30s at this point and that product has never really amounted to anything great outside of a couple of seasons. He’s not overly bright as a qb. He is what he is and you better have a team with the talent is the 9ers or similar around him for him to have any success in the playoffs. He’s never going to carry you.
