This has to be the worst performing blue chip stock in existence. You could have bought at this same price back in 2015. Meanwhile, the S&P is up about 190% in the same timeframe with dividends.

What a dog this company is.

Good. I'm sick of their anti-American societal programing.

Dogs deserve better than to be compared to Disney.

Disney went from being wholesome family fair, to woke groomers over the last few decades.

You are 100% correct, they have made horrendous decisions - but I’m buying the dip. They publicly announced the woke crap is over and ESPN is finally starting to offer their live programming outside of cable.

I love the dips. I buy Disney under 90.

Did they? I guess we’ll see in a couple weeks when a certain month-long “celebration” begins.

Comcast partnership with WB and Apple will be a killer for Disney as poor as Disney content has been. Park attendance has been slightly down but they are raising prices to make up the difference, that is a bad trend.

Also, been seeing a trend on facebook to not bring your family to Disney movies this summer.

The woke stuff definitely is part of it, but there have been a lot of issues on the park side recently.

You had the COVID year with the parks closed or almost empty

2021 you were still seeing masking and inflation started to tick up

2022-present crazy inflation

In other parts of the business...

The Marvel moneypit has dried up since they wrapped up the last big Avengers story and you had Evans and Downey Jr. leave their roles.

They haven't put out a big new animated IP, or even a sequel, in a while

The only good Star Wars content they put out was on Disney+ and they pay a ton for it considering cost of the IP itself and production costs.

They opened Galaxy's Edge right before COVID shut down the world. Would have been a huge money generator. Now inflation is roaring and the shine has worn off because its been almost 5 years since it opened at this point

Not to mention their parks are extremely expensive for families or younger couples. The only people I know who still go are the hard core Disney types.

They are going deep with Disney cruise line because I think thats probably their best bet moving forward. Cruising has really taken back off since pandemic ended and Disney cruises are not cheap and in very high demand. They only have 5 ships in their fleet and 2 of them are very old (built in '98 and '99). They are releasing 3 new ships in the next 2 years including 1 mega ship (208,000 GT) they bought mostly completed for only 40 million euro (was a 1.8 billion euro ship) as part of a bankruptcy of another cruise company in China. I think they will find they will do pretty well if they could pull a few more of those out of their hat.

No one had take a child focused business and cater to pedophiles and trans weirdos on their Disney bingo card.

And Bob Chapek was the wrong guy to handle such a tumultuous time. Following Iger was tough enough task. The ask during covid and trans-gender indoctrination was too much.

I'm betting that Boeing and the airlines will clean up their QC and maintenance acts due to so much bad publicity. Hope I don't roll snake-eyes.

No they didn't. You can't find more than a passing quote that sort of addresses it but not really. They're notngoing to stop being woke because everyone in that industry is woke. It's inevitable.

Iger started the woke. Chapek was only there for 2 years. What came out from Disney was set into motion years before Chapek.
