Down 4 to Tom Kim

Down 3 to Scottie

Down 2 to Hovland

Down 2 to. Homa

Down 2 to Bryson

That’s just notable big name games. There is multiple others. He has to catch every single one to win

We aren’t talking about him fighting to get top5. We are talking about a win. It would be close to a miracle

I’ll give you every aingle player at -2 or worse in the entire tournament if you want to make a wager

Rahm is a proven top player and major winner. It’s fricking Thursday. Idk why you think crazier shite hasn’t happened. Hell players have come back from 7 down in the final day before.

I’m not saying it’s happening, but to write off Rahm right now is outright moronic.

So you get the top 31 players from day one vs everyone else and think it’s an even bet? For fricks sake dumbass I’m not saying it’s happening. And anyone with a brain would need 20/1 odds against your stupid arse offer if you understood gambling at all, too.

So you think it’s 20/1 odds against every single player at -2 or worse, yet you are arguing about a single golfer at -1 having a realistic chance?

I’m not saying Rahm or Hideki can’t fight into a top 5 finish. They aren’t going to play their way into having a competitor chance to win this tournament. Their best outcome is a Rory masters 2022 performance

Not the point. There is so much that can happen the next three days and with the weather problems…. I’m not a gambler so you are on your own…

Scottie Scheffler went out and shot an opening round 67 and his odds to win got worse

That has to be an unbelievably rare occurrence. I mean it’s bordering weird just typing

I mean he was the favorite on an even playing field to start the tournament. Now he’s 5 shots back.

Ok

How often does someone shot a 67 in round 1 and then sit 5 shots back?

And it’s not just that. There are likely only 3-5 players that could shoot the 62 and make Scottie’s odds go down. If MaCentire or sahith shot that 62 it wouldn’t have lowered Scottie’s odds

Well since Xander tied the record at 62 I’d say almost never. But seems like you’re stuck on the “67” instead of “5 shots back”

I’m not stuck on anything

Shooting 67 and having your odds go down is unbelievable rare. That’s it. That’s the post

I don't think I'd toss Morikawa aside so easily.

Not the absolute best course fit by the data, but he's a two-time major champion who has a history of playing well at Nicklaus courses. Harding Park also played pretty similarly to what Valhalla will play like this week, and he is coming off a nice finish at the Masters.

Not sure I'd toss Theegala so easily aside, either. Dude has kinda quietly become a top 15-ish player in the world, and this place suits him very well; he's going to start winning big tournaments at some point, might as well be here. Also still like Bryson.

I'd put the odds of the winner coming out of that group of 7 - Xander, Rory, Scottie, Brooks, Morikawa, Bryson, Theegala - at about 80 - 85%.

Id say it’s better than that but your guess is right on

Would love to know what the odds would be on that grouping

-750 is my guess. Xander/Rory/Scottie is -175 by itself

The trifecta Xander/Rory/Morikowa is currently even odds. That’s juicy

Schauffele has to shoot in the 60's all four rounds to win it. He can do what Harmen did in the Open championship and get way ahead and take a very low round to catch him. Hell of a round even though it was getable. Not too many did .
