Two things can be true at the same time. LMPD is arse we all know that. Today we just found out Scottie is not smart either.
All he had to do was say who he was and where he was going the first time. Who cares what everyone else was doing.

Having helped park cars for all kinds of events here in city, particularly big ones with celebrities, athletes, etc. over the years, someone not realizing they have to stop for a guy they can't identify as an officer is pretty common. You don't lose your mind over it. Once Scheffler realized what he did, he DID stop. The cop went fricking nuts and reached in the car to pull him out when he rolled down his window.
This got very unnecessarily escalated to a man now getting hit with major charges. Because a gumshoe cop couldn't identify his PGA Tour car.
ETA: Also worth noting that it was dark, the cop's jacket wasn't clearly marked, and he was following other PGA folks who were being let through.
