He is referring there to gain of function research. Prior to saying that he comments on the high wall for human transmission.
He is clearly saying that if it happens, it will be the lab leaks.
So if it happens CNN will be saying it came from a meatloaf dinner and is now as infectious a a cold.

No he is not. He is stating the immediate risk is higher for a human to human form of the virus to be engineered in a lab. He mentioned that the virus is mutating / to be infectious through various mammal species and has been for a while now. Our number could come up sooner or later.

I'm not preparing to believe anything. You have already decided that if a human to human form does occur that it has to be some grand conspiracy and that someone must "do something".
The misinformation provided by the authorities during covid and the legacy of mistrust it formed is what is going to kill us when the next pandemic arrives. ....I'll give you that.... but no I dont believe without any evidence that this is something that is being planned to decimate the human population by nefarious actors
