You don't plan on watching Xmen, FF4, Blade? I highly doubt that

I’m not all that interested to be honest with you. Maybe if they bring in Mister Sinister as a villain that might put me back in the theater, but the fact of the matter is I think the X-Men universe should be entirely separate from the rest of Marvel.

Like I’m sure they’re going to make the mutants start when Hulk snapped his fingers, but Professor X and Magneto don’t make that much sense in the MCU if they just suddenly became mutants and I don’t see why Captain America or Spider-Man would be seen as any different from mutants.

Not sure you can do a singular movie with just Cyclops. It would have to be the X-men with him as the primary character.

I think you could maybe do a movie centered around the following

Magneto
Storm
Cable
Bishop
Gambit

Wolverine is the only X-men you could really create a world around obviously. The others need their teammates

I think the Marvels is showing that the Fox X-men universe has been a parallel universe this whole time and there’s now an incursion about to happen.

I think Deadpool will bridge the gap and bring us either X-men vs Avengers or Secret Wars

Is she really? Her show was fine but at this point she’s way over powered and how long can we go on about her lost fake kids? She took over Dr. Strange’s latest movie and made him look helpless.

his balance is easily Wolverine. And yes you recast that.

Wolverine should be easy to recast. You need a gruff hairy short stocky guy. Hugh Jackman actually didn’t have the right look.

Have you watched X-Men 97? If not, you need to. I’d say it has put the MCU back on the map.

Jeremy White. Lip from Shameless and The Bear

Dude would kill it.

Cyclops needs to be some tall badass guy, not someone like Marsden.

The Blade production has been a complete disaster so far. They've gone through multiple scrips and had a director quit. At least they haven't filmed anything yet. A dark R rated, or at least hard PG-13, Blade should be a sure hit and proof that Marvel can do something different but their insistence on forcing some sort of progressive message is killing the whole project.

Same thing happened with the new Captain America and that movie is gonna fail because of it.

Captain America: There's a rumor that Disney + has a series where Cap brings the stones back to the original timeline. Pull Wolverine and Magneto into that.
I'm sorry but this completely saturates the endgame ending and movie as a whole now if true. You cant have a 10 minute argument between ant man and rhodes about how traveling back in the past has no future implications and let old man cap just be sitting on that bench a few minutes after he traveled back in time to return the stones. There is now 2 different steve rogers in the same timeline and peggy was not married to either one

But ok. Let rogers return the stones and after giving up the last one, he returns home not to go sit on the bench but become the leader of hydra. He would be altering a past that he was not apart of, which was that movie's stupid rule.

Then let that steve rogers fight in secret wars or whatever is coming out on 2026

Get people who actually love the source material to make the movies.

I wish they would have done a movie between Civil War and Infinity War that centered on Caps group of "criminal" Avengers.

this is honestly a good idea and a very comic book thing to do.

a good redemptive ark and an enormously popular actor would be great for that franchise.

they need to nail the FF and XMen and then bring in Doom as a big bad but they may go with Galactus

we need character who can carry the overall stories.

Spiderman sells tickets but how committed is Holland to doing 20 movies?

The drop off after End Game was inevitable. Their run was amazing but I knew it was the end of an era.

Keep it going if the right people are in charge. X-Men and Fantastic 4 could definitely bring back the popularity if done right. Disney+ just proved that with an animated X-Men show that originally ended when a lot of us were kids or not even born yet.

Fool proof plan:

Don’t try to continue building in the current massive universe right now.

Introduce X-men and build them up like a stand alone universe.

Same with Fantastic Four.

Knock those two out of the park with a few movies each.

If all goes well, and those franchises succeed, then, and only then, find a storyline that will let you have those universes crash in with the main MCU.

It should take 10 plus years to get to that point. We will be far enough removed from Endgame to have some of the OG Avengers show up and have it actually mean something.

And for fricks sake, when the mashup happens, don’t spill all the beans in the trailer and promos. Do it right and you’ll get the “frick yeah!” moment the last dozen movies have been missing.

Doesn't have to be a movie with just Slim. The problem with the early movies was that they made him a cuck instead of the badass, true leader of the team that he is. Instead, they focused on the antihero wolverine and made Cyclops the "other guy" as opposed to THE guy that he is. There are TONS of storylines with the Summers family as the focus, as we're seeing in X-Men '97 right now.

The Summers aren't even the "First Family" of Marvel. We haven't been introduced to them in the MCU yet. Reed Richards could also easily carry that mantle.

Wolverine is the only X-men you could really create a world around obviously.

Hugh Jackman was great even if he didn't fit the bill for the character from a true source material standpoint. Your statement is still far from the truth. Wolverine, as a character, was maybe top ten. Properly written and cast, Marvel has plenty of other characters to carry a franchise or universe.

quote:

Magneto
Storm
Cable
Bishop
Gambit

And none of these are in that.
Cyclops
Prof X
Reed Richards
Dr Doom
Spiderman
Cap
Mr Sinister
Apocalypse
Kang

All of those are better characters with more stories. We've had a lot of Spiderman screentime, and there's still more to tell. F4 screentime has been campy. Wolverine finally got gritty in Logan. Age of Apocalypse was underwhelming with it being the kiddy class, Olivia Munn as Psylocke was pretty hot, tho...

So many good stories to tell. Hell, we've had the Jean Grey Phoenix/Dark Phoenix on the big screen and neither really captured it. They showed a measure of the power but never really did it justice.
