I wouldn't base where I stay by the game. It's just one evening so base it off of the rest of your trip. That being said, 1923 Prohibition Bar in Mandalay is owned by an LSU alum

Rooms aren’t bad. Elara is better, but avoiding kids at the pools is nice.

It’s purely a wading pool you can walk around in waist deep in most places and the ladies will be out in force. No hot tub at Flamingo but the Hilton has one.

Excalibur is one of the few kid friendly hotels on the strip. It’s a bit dingy but you aren’t spending much time in your room anyway.
