re: For you duck hunters, how often do you pay attention to the water?

I know, during teal season, those used to be a fear. That's why I mainly hunted rice field for teal season.

Back in the day, by the time duck season opened, the temps had dropped, at least for a little while, to the point where most gators were slow moving. I can remember stepping over them actually. I guess, these days, the water temps are still pretty warm by duck season.

I guess there is very little good about duck season down here anymore.
