Biden: Expect him to do well in the debate

Everyone, including Trump supporters, should expect Biden to perform well in the debates. He did better than most expected in the previous debates and always comes in juiced up for big moments.
We should set high expectations for Biden, expect them, and see if he can achieve them. The incumbent should be expected to perform well in the debates. As the nation's leader, people look to him to articulate his vision for the future, defend his record, and present clear plans for addressing the country's challenges. Moreover, given the importance of these debates in shaping public opinion, there's pressure on him to perform well, mainly if perceived vulnerabilities exist in his administration's policies or actions.
I expect Biden to do well and will see if he can meet the standard. His team has done an excellent job getting him to exceed expectations in the past. My expectations will be a high bar to achieve.
That does not mean I’m a Biden supporter, believe he wins the debate, or is the right choice for this country.

He will not answer questions. He will respond by pivoting to a canned prepared response no matter what question is asked and the “moderators” will not call him on it. The media will seal clap at his performance and describe him as stoic, presidential, steadfast ect

Trump's specialty is to get you off your game. If you are talking about economic issues, he'll go at Biden over Hunter, for instance. Talk about military and foreign affairs and he'll bring up Hunter and the deals with the Chinese. He wants you flustered and getting into a crap slinging contest.

There's no amount of amphetamines that can be pumped into that crusty old bastard to make him even seem remotely competent alone much less beside the best President in modern history. (Which is why I do not believe these debates will actually happen)

Maybe it's drugs, maybe it's moderator help, maybe he has the questions in advance.
Biden's people are not going to put him on live television without the expectation that Biden will perform well.
They have stopped letting him walk alone for goodness sakes because they know one fall and he's finished.
In the 2020 debates people expected Biden to stand there staring with drool on his tie.
When that didn't happen people came away feeling Biden looked pretty good. It was a benefit of low expectations.

He performed poorly against Paul Ryan in 2012. That was essentially his "high water mark" as far as debates go.
He never had a good showing against Trump. ...and it'll happen again, but the MSM will say he fared well regardless of how pathetic he performs.

Okay, expect him to do poorly and set the bar low. Then, it will be easy for him to show up and the MSM to prop him up like they have in the past for those who can’t see past the smoke and mirrors.

This is an interesting thought process..
What if Biden agreed to the debate.. because Biden knows that Trump will be in jail.. at least for one day.. on that specific day?
Or maybe Biden knows that the trial will still be going on, and therefore Trump won't be allowed to talk about certain things.. but the questions will come.. but he can't answer without facing a punishment..
I don't trust the Dem's either way.

If they actually want to replace him, then this will be the catalyst for it. Just let him fail by pressing him on issues and making him defend his decisions.
