Dude, attempted highjackings would go through the fricking roof if everyone was allowed to carry on an airliner. My cockpit door would look like a rural road sign with 100 bullet holes in it. Zero pilots would agree to fly.

Not only the airplane itself, but have you been to an airport in the past couple of years? There would be daily shootouts at the gates when some drunk misses their flight.
The airline industry would cease to exist for lack of employees willing to do it.

You seriously don’t see any problems with allowing people to carry loaded weapons into an airport and on an airliner?

What it comes down to is you would rather accept an infringement upon our God given rights than expect the criminals to be properly punished for their misdeeds.
I assume you feel it would be easier to restrict gun rights than to revamp our correction system to properly punish criminals.
I'm not down with that.

If you don’t think that would be disastrous to allow everyone to carry weapons on an airliner, I don’t what to tell you.
You know you can take down an airliner with a firearm right? Shooting the fuselage would cause a rapid depressurization. Shooting the engines would disable them. Shooting the fuel tanks could cause a fire or explosion.
