I’m in Broussard. That was some wild shite. I really thought my roof was going to tear off. More intense than any tropical storm/hurricane I’ve witnessed firsthand, including Gustav in BR.

Really interested if what just passed through South Lafayette was a tornado. That was wild. Easy 80-90mph winds

Saw that big green power flash and thought there must be a tornado. It was a whiteout after that.

Then the 4-5 power flashes a few minutes after to the West.

A lot of people already had compromised roofs going into tonight. I was trying to help them get trees off still. Now what was bad will be even worse.

Worst: no. Katrina left you with more than just lost power and downed trees.

It doesn't take a tornado with straight-line winds like this. Whether they're straight or rotating they're messing stuff up.

Demco has our power off for the second time this evening. First was about an hour and everything came back once the weather passed. Afraid this one is gonna be way longer just based on winds and whatever the hell else hits tonight. NW Livingston Parish.

“I-10 from St George area all the way to New Orleans is basically in the line of fire”

The red of the storm is going from St. George area East on I12
