One of the best DTs that ever played at LSU. Cat quick for his size.

He's branching out into all kinds of stuff now....he has a podcast (The BrockCast), clothing brand, and a restaurant in Houston.

Like Sammy said, they have competition.

As for Brockers, he was unblockable in '11. Drafted as a RS Soph. Didn't get to see enough of him in P&G.

Brockers was always one of my favorites. Quiet guy who went about business,

I remember an interview Les Miles did after the 2011 season and he said that coming out of Spring Practice it became evident that Brockers had become unblockable.

He could take a double team and drive them backwards or cover two gaps like saran wrap.

Seeing players who were your age when you went to school retire with these stats is a kick in the nuts.

There is always someone better. I happen to be reading a biography of Napoleon Bonaparte. At 17 years old he was what we today would call an Italian. He was from Corsica. So Napoleon was not even French. He spoke French with a poor accent and pronunciation. Ten years later, at 27 years of age, he was the most important person in France. Three years after that he bestrode Europe and was the most important person in the world.

Kind of makes you feel like a failure. At 27 I was playing with my pud.

He was the overlooked key to the 2011 defense.

Very true. He didn’t have the notoriety of a Glenn Dorsey, but he ultimately became a better football player than Glenn as evidenced by his NFL career, which was superior to Glenn’s NFL career.

they were 2 different players who in the NFL got asked to do the same thing.

Brockers was built to eat blocks and be a big arse mfer

Dorsey is. 6’1” 300 and got asked to be a nose tackle. that was not what he did in college.

Every time another Tiger retires that I remember following during recruiting, it's weird. I remember he was very highly rated and was a big get in that massive 2009 class that was key to the 2011 team.

Bennie Logan wasn’t too shabby either from that same squad. That line was NASTY. Brockers, Logan, Montgomery, Mingo good lord.
crazy thing is Akieem Hicks should’ve been apart of this class but didn’t qualify if I remember correctly.

Brockers

Seems like a long time since LSU had Guys like Brokers in the trenches. This is why UGA, Bama, OH ST seem to compete every year for playoff spots while LSU is fighting to hit 10 wins. Loved Brockers at LSU and in the NFL. Great career.
