Adding him and the two former Tennessee players would be an awesome way to round out our roster. Maybe our defensive coaches will have some pieces to work with this year after all.

Billy said we weren’t interested. I want CJ West in August along with the two Tennessee guys. That’s the making of a stout defense

Is anyone else not worried about the cornerbacks? I mean… we got torched.

Cornerbacks were not SEC caliber but the main defensive issue we had was scheme. A better scheme and defensive coach with same players and we are a mid 50's ranked defense.

I mean, we have 17 db’s. There’s got to be 7 good starters and backups in there. Hoping coaching/scheme will take over.

Not really, zy will be back and we can see what we’ve got out of the two OSU transfers. Tovaino will continue to improve

Yeah scheme sucked but for the latter half of the season we were starting two true freshman at CB. That is never a good situation unless you’ve got Patrick Peterson clones out there

D line had a lot to do with that. If the pressure is there makes it much harder to pick apart a defense. They aren’t world beaters but stout d line changes last years defense tremendously.

The scheme did them no favors either.

You need a lockdown corner for a stout defense. There is a huge reason we chased that wake forest DB.

The secondary has some dudes. They just have to advance from frosh to soph's, and make decent trajectorial improvements individually, and our scheme will put them in the best possible position to succeed based off of thier strengths and weaknesses.

We are just trying to get to average right now bud. We need guys who know how to play coverage and track the ball in the air right now. We should have that on the roster. I'm still a big believer in the Ohio St guys (I liked what I saw from Brown in the spring game), and Zy when he gets back. Add in Toviano developing, Stamps, and the young gun Woodland, and we should have a nice rotation.

Proves the point it was mainly scheme. We had 3 DL drafted by the NFL and they looked pedestrian to horrible.

CBs were not elite but scheme was main cause of problems. House simply despised getting pressure on the QB. There was a reason defensive players and linemen were celebrating when House was fired. He made them all look bad. But the NFL can identify talent.

Did you look at only his size? If you watch some film, he would never play a down for LSU.

Don’t worry.
Navarre Junior College made him an NIL offer Kelly will never meet. We will not buy players.

Not buying players isn't exactly what BK meant. Not overpaying and losing your roster is what he meant. And if you notice there's money being spent for this 25 class. It's all calculated. We will be fine. ... Camps are coming up and watch, the gold will rise and kids will buy in and sign with the school they've love since birth. The LSU Tigers.
