GxK getting a sequel

Maybe this is more accurate. It made less at the box office but maybe it has a lower budget.

Is G-1 or the new GvsK on any of the streaming platforms for free yet?

I did check Wiki and GxK did better domestically but overall Kong Skull Island (so far) topped the box office by a nose. Dunno if they tabulate in physical media and stuff, or that GxK is done with its run yet.


GxK media is coming soon, I believe. G-1 is on streaming now, but only in Japan. Still no word on when or if it'll get a dubbed version. I'm hoping by Christmas something will be out. FFS, for all the $ it made them, they'd do right to move this thing along.

Yep. All subbed. Saw it 5x's. I just hope they invest a bit of coin it the dub version with decent actors and get as close to the original as possible.

I think Toho has a deal with Legendary, to "not frick with" the American audience.
As I understand it, that's why G-1 was pulled from the theaters so quickly, and why it isn't streaming yet over here. If that's the case, I think it will show up soon after Legendary's movie goes to a service (Max, right?).

I don't know who has ties to Toho, or what service it will be on.

I've toyed with the idea of setting up an Amazon Japan account somehow, just to buy the Blu Ray set. I'd rather get one with English subtitles, but worst case scenario I could live without it.
