If you're looking for an economic solution to fueling carbureted 2 strokes, go to a local small airport and buy a gallon or two of 100LL. The lead acts as an additional lubricant in the gas. Mix it with 2 stroke oil just like you would ethanol free pump gas. A couple of years ago it was about $5 a gallon if I recall, then buy some premix and mix your own. Carbeurated 2 strokes love 100LL. Used to race dirt bikes and this is what I ran with a BelRay synthetic oil. Completely overkill for a weed eater or blower, but I had it on hand. It smells really sweet as a benefit. 100LL has a blue tint to it and the BelRay is also blue so it makes a cool looking mixture. Totally irrelevant to this conversation though.

I have started buying the VP Racing Fuel cans that are similar to the TruFuel brand since I don't race any longer and 5 gallons of fuel lasted me 2 years. The fuel will go bad.
