The Chinese Christmas factories were eye opening. It makes sense that this cheap shite has to be made somewhere, but it’s hard to imagine working in red powder paint all day every day.

You can buy beautiful glass and metal vintage ornaments off eBay all year round. Almost all made in America.

Ha! No. But I got addicted to buying vintage ornaments and decorations years ago bc I was eliminating cheap plastic crap from our homes. I’ve found some beautiful old ornament collections online and stocked up.

There is a reason high-quality stuff costs money. Model trains have also advanced significantly in the last 30 years. The much higher attention to prototype detail is amazing, something you only got in brass back in the day.
