Anyone else experiencing overwhelmed DMVs ("Migrants")

My local DMV is on a 3-4 week waiting list to setup an appointment to renew licenses, transfer titles, etc.
I finally got my appointment today, and the entire office was filled with Spanish speaking foreigners. They all had alot of small children, strollers, babies, etc with them.
All of them getting their state issued IDs, and interpreters on staff to walk them through the process.
Not sure if anyone has experienced anything similar.

3-4 what? Hours? Days? Weeks? Are appointments general or specific there? For instance, making an appt for a renewal is different here than for a new license or id. I’m asking bc I need to book an appt online for a replacement and was wondering what I would face. Think I’m just going to book it in a small town about an hour away to avoid most of this.

I havent noticed many in suburbs of Bham. Kind of hard to inject masses of migrants when your hood in 95% honkey.

I didn't see the word illegal anywhere in your post.

Mine had four taco trucks set up before the DMV even opened.

DMV here is staffed by barely English speakers. It’s like going to Mumbai.
Excuse me? Can you repeat that? Huh? How much?
Always love having ESL people in customer facing roles.

don't y'all have renewals available online? you pay online with a quick AI chat confirming address, name, and they use your old DL photo and mail your new DL.
Search renew online at your States page.

I have not noticed any in the county where I live. There is no reason for them to come here. Nobody will hire them, nobody speaks Spanish, and every other house has a Trump sign, Confederate flag, or Let's go Brandon sign.
