Burning through Guidry AND Herring in a situation where we absolutely do not have to, nor can we waste a good arm for game 2 or 3. I don't get it.

You think any of these pitchers are “burned”? Games tomorrow will be cancelled and they will play Saturday/Sunday. All will be available

Guidry lost the plate 6 pitches in a row and put the tying run in the on deck circle. If Jay allowed him another batter, and he walked him, you'd be bitching that he should have pulled him 4 pitches ago

They’ll both be available Saturday, maybe even Friday if needed. Relievers don’t need a week to recoup.

That rule was changed this year. They can play on Sunday if necessary.
