Are you opposed to any other people being paid the market value for their skills? Maybe you should ask yourself what it is about this one particular case you have a problem with people being paid market value for their skills. You might learn something about yourself or see that the ONLY reason you are against it is for selfish reasons (in which case you have no leg to stand on and should be ignored). The excuse of “but muh team can’t compete” isn’t a reason to not let these players be paid.
