I have a good friend who is a democratic socialist in New Orleans. In the last few months when we discuss Biden he has expressed how the DSO of New Orleans and other progressive organizations are furious with Biden's stance on Israel. They are starting to open their eyes to the fact that he is just an old man who has no idea what he is saying much less doing. Theses groups are going to vote 3rd party or just not vote at all. We all know he has lost ground with minorities. The next couple of months of Biden and his cronies trying to make these groups happy is going to be interesting. I am a little proud that after 4 years of friendship and lots of conversations my buddy can see that both of these parties do not care about Americans.

Those slimy bastards are not going to vote 3rd party, period. They may say that but the progressives/libtards are a soulless bunch and will fall in line when they vote.

your friend doesnt like Biden because Biden and his regime are not far left or extreme enough. i dont see how you can spin that as a win.

Nope. Over the next 6 months they will all return to the dems. I've seen this far too many times to be fooled into believing your statement.

because he is a great friend we just have different political views. I prefer not to live in an echo chamber when it comes to my friends. last year I took him to my hunting camp. he had never shot a gun and had all the wrong views on gun owners. He shot over 15 different weapons and had a great time with me and my buddies. I know for a fact that changed the way he viewed gun owners. The biggest problem I see in American is people with opposite views don't have enough honest conversations.

because it isn't biden saying or doing...he is nothing but a puppet. Hell, he doesn't even know what the heck he is doing, honestly. They tell him to look serious and yell, and that's what he does....lol.

Where do you glean a possible good decision some of the time out of that?

not sure how that works. It is completely different values and views. Maybe I'm different, but I just can't relate to that thought process.

I assume he doesnt live the life of a real socialist. He probably has an iphone, a nice computer, cool corporate made vehicle, has a mortgage or pays rent...

Most democratic socialists I've met are upper middle class kids who have no clue what it means.

It’s funny that Biden is losing youth/progressive support because of the 1 thing he has done right.

i dont know this specific person obviously, or the nature or history of your friendship. but generally speaking, when people give me the "i dont let different political views ruin friendships" line, i remind them that we arent talking about small, nuanced. different views on deficit spending, balancing the budget, or foreign policy. the political ideology that he espouses accuses us every day of being racists, homophobic, anti-science, anti-trans, anti-women Nazis who are only days away from a 21st century holocaust where we kill every non-white straight person. he might not say that to your face, but his ideology believes that and pushes that message relentlessly.

i agree that more honest conversations need to be taking place between people with opposite views, but so far i havent met the leftist who will have that conversation in good faith. eventually when some simple logic blows grand canyon size rips in their ideology, they fall back on attacking character.

but maybe your friend is different, and he really is starting to see the truth. i hope so.

So these dumbasses aren’t bothered by the plethora of shitty domestic problems he’s caused? But they draw the line at what’s happening 6000 miles away?

I can honestly say after almost 5 years of friendship I know where I stand with him. he even invited me to a DSO meeting which I attended and tried not to lol. when you show someone your not racist and they see how you act and talk to people with opposing views it can make a difference. we initially bonded over our love of the grateful dead. My wife and I have spent many nights at his house with his wife. they have came to our Christmas party, he was there for me anytime I called when my brother was loosing his battle with cancer. He is a great friend. shite even my hunting camp buddies like him, he took all the shite my buddies dished out to him at my camp and gave some back.
