And it’s all thanks to that damn undersea volcano I can’t pronounce.

Repeat…. A naturally occurring event is causing the record heat. They will not mention this otherwise.

We’ve already gotten more rain this summer than last summer. Things are looking up.

Fire season gonna suck.

The seasonal models have the whole west dry for the summer.

They also are generally showing a huge precip anomaly through the MDR and Caribbean. Im sure that will be fine.

It has been a plenty wet enough Fall/Winter/Spring. Lots of green out there right now. Fuel load is gonna be significant.

So, they’re predicting a heat ridge similar to last summer?

Wouldn’t that be a Hurricane deterrent?

Louisiana summers are basically the same. Get up in the morning, wade through the blanket of humidity and wolf spider webs, experience hot balls.

Once the ground and waterways reach peak temp, it's over unless extended rains happens.

Its very green currently. We have a nice snowpack to melt off still. Already causing flooding issues along low lying areas (which is funny to say).

Just need to narrow the season. Thinking early to mid July on the fire bans in my area.

That's the problem with drought relief, in Cali and the PacNW especially. They get dense new growth, and when it does turn dry again all of it becomes kindling. The good thing is that it seems like BLM and wildland crews have been putting in work while it has been safe to prescribe burn. Hopefully it helps.

The current long range modeling doesnt strike me as "deterred".

Clear solution is to raise taxes on the middle class and send it over to undeveloped countries.
That’s funny but it seems like the solution to just about everything.

It won’t be as hot or dry as last year but the other extreme is that it’s wet and stormy as frick. I am looking for a mild summer with a lot of rain and active hurricane season.

It’s not summer yet. It won’t start until June 21st. The summer solstice.

Never. Last summer sucked though.

Yeah. Never thought I would actually miss those afternoon/evening thundershowers like I did last summer.
